Just a little framing crew trivia - How many cigarettes can a framing crew of 5 smoke in 2-1/2 days?
Answer: 270 ( This is what Daulton counted tonight around the house)

1 Stick or Margarine Melted

Cut bisquits into fourths and combine with sugar and cinnamon. Coat Well and toss in pecans.
Spray bundt pan and add the remaining cup of pecans in, then add bisquits that have been coated. Melt butter and brown sugar and pour over your bisquits. Bake at 350 for 45 min. Turn bundt pan upside down and onto your serving dish. Enjoy!!

Lexington Brick and Granbury Stone

After 3 weeks of driving endless miles and looking at more house than my brain can remember...I finally hit the jackpot. I found one that I love...a little bit neutral but a little bit color. I loved everything about this house except for the ugly roof.

Brick and More Brick

My favorite is the brick on the first house...hate the stone color, but love the brick. The last picture is cool...it's called a sloppy technique (made to look like old brick).

Flooring for New House

Here's the flooring for the main living areas and kitchen. After talking with a couple of people who have brick, I decided against it. Just not really what we wanted. These are Prestige Historic 5" Plank wood foors with a slight hand-scraped look. Final price was $8.59 installed.

My little breakfast nook....finally found this black table and chairs at Target. It was much cheaper than the Pottery Barn set.

Emily at last night's 8th grade Volleyball game. We won but lost a player to a broken ankle during the game. If you look closing you can see that Emily is playing with a broken pinky finger.

Backsplash - Paris

I found this "Paris" tile backsplash and immediately thought it had great colors in it...very French Country looking...considering it for behind the rangetop.

Seonds Thoughts......

Ok..having some thoughts on the stained cabinets....I think I'm worried about them looking dated 15-20 years from now...maybe I should just go with a classic white instead...I've had these kitchens saved on my computer for a while...there is something crisp and clean feeling about the white, but I also love the warmth of the stain cabinets....Hmmmm...I just don't know.

Knotty Alder cabinet with a Pecan colored stain. This is what will be going into our new house. I never thought about doing Knotty Alder, but the builder took us to one of his houses and they were beautiful..It was love at first sight.

Beth Moore - Stepping Up

I just started a new Beth Moore bible study called "Stepping Up" which covers Psalms 120-134. We have our biggest group ever so I'm looking forward to the fellowship and learning about these 14 chapters.
